Meeting Minutes
The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission (NCAC) held a special meeting on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Old Courtroom at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Newtown, CT.
Members Present: Debbie Aurelia, Martin Blanco, Jennifer Johnston, Joe Grasso, Rob Kaiser, Donna Mangiafico, Linda Watson
Members Absent: Marina Moscovici
Auxiliary Members Present: Jennifer Rogers
Guests Present: Heather Irving, Zebee Voss
Jennifer Johnston called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM.
The CT Film Festival was discussed. Jennifer Johnson reported that details, including advanced ticket purchase information, will be available on the newtownartscommission.org website by Monday, March 16, 2009.
The CT Film Festival will be held at the Edmond Town Hall Theatre on Saturday, April 25, 2009. The VIP reception will be held after the feature film “Dislecksia: The Movie” at The Inn At Newtown.
In addition to the feature film, there will be four other screenings. The NCAC discussed ticket prices and event pass options. The following was unanimously approved:
Individual Sponsorship levels:
Friend: $100-499 Acknowledgement in Festival Program, 2 tickets to one of the screenings
Supporter: $500-$999 All benefits of friend plus 4 tickets to feature film followed by film discussion
Benefactor: $1,000+ All benefits of supporter plus 4 passes to all screenings including VIP reception
Corporate Sponsorship levels:
Supporting Player: $500 Press release of sponsorship in marketing materials, Acknowledgement in festival program and on NCAC website, 2 tickets to one of the screenings
Leading Role: $501-$999 All benefits of a supporting player plus 4 tickets to the feature film
Star Sponsor: $1,000+ All benefits of leading role plus 4 passes to all screenings including the VIP reception.
Logo in Lobby: $50
Event Passes:
VIP Pass $35 access to all screenings including feature film and VIP reception
Day Pass $25 access to all screenings including feature film
Individual Tickets:
Dislecksia: The Movie $10
All other screenings $7 per ticket
Members of the NCAC will search for volunteers for the day of the event. Volunteers are needed for ticket sales, ticket collection, etc.
The next regular meeting will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009, 7:00 PM in the Old Courtroom at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Newtown, CT.
